Jabil Announces FAA Certification

1 March 2006
St. Petersburg, FL

Forward - Looking Statement

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – March 1, 2006 – Jabil Circuit, Inc. (NYSE:JBL) today announced that its facility in Billerica, Massachusetts has been granted Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) repair station certification. This certification allows Jabil to provide repair and support services on products utilized in commercial aircraft.

"Achieving FAA certification is a significant milestone in our aerospace-industry growth strategy," said Dan Lewis, Senior Director of Jabil's Defense and Aerospace Services business unit. "Many of our aerospace customers have asked that we expand our service offering to include end-to-end product life-cycle support."

According to Lewis, aerospace companies have not historically utilized external manufacturing providers, however many have begun to utilize partners such as Jabil, who offer global aerospace manufacturing and support services.

"Defense and Aerospace companies are finding that utilizing a partner such as Jabil offers many significant advantages in obsolescence control and optimization of total cost of ownership issues. This allows them to lower their total costs, which is absolutely essential in today's market," he said.

The new repair station at Jabil holds certificate # J1IR247Y.
